An interactive approach to help you understand the value of ITIL
® in service management practice

At A Glance – Course Overview
Gain an awareness and general overview of the ITIL®framework and its benefits with an Introduction to ITIL® Best Practice Simulation.  Our course delivers hands-on experience in a fun business simulation. The two ingredients are firmly embedded in a sound outline of ITIL® as it is practised today in major corporations throughout the world to improve IT Business performance.

The business simulation is designed to provide insight into the application of IT Service Management in a fun game setting that closely resembles the business processes of IT environments. As a participant you will assume roles of Business Managers, Production Staff, Trouble Shooters, and Vendors and will be responsible for managing the simulated businesses yourself. The newly gained insights from the theoretical modules will be easily transferred to the business simulation environment, proving the value of ITIL’s ® Best Practices and the importance of applying those in a real business environment.

How It Delivers Value
Attending the ITIL® Simulation will give you the ideal grounding in the ITIL ®framework. While gaining an understanding of the principles involved in ensuring best practice, you will realise the benefits, by actually seeing them first hand.

With an understanding of the ITIL® process, you can see how your business will grow. The results will lead to:

  •  Improved accuracy of information on the IT Infrastructure
  • Added control over valuable assets
  • Improved facilitation of legal requirements (licensing, continuity planning)
  • Better communication and information flows between IT staff and customers
  • A quality approach to IT service provision
  • A more satisfied and assured IT Director, confident that staff are provided with the appropriate standards and guidance
  • Greater productivity and a better use of available skills and experience

Who Will Benefit
This course is ideal for staff who might be involved in the perimeter of IT Service Management, or those who are new to ITIL® and requiring a broad, brief introduction.

The Introduction to ITIL® Best Practice Simulation is suitable for relatively large numbers and might be used to engender an initial understanding of IT Service Management amongst groups such as IT staff, not directly involved with implementation, but requiring an understanding of the organisations ITSM project and commonly used ITIL® terminology.
